Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Valid B737NG type rating with no limitation.
  • 500 hours PIC time on type.
  • 3500 hours total PIC time (on all types)
  • Total time 5000 hours  (current on type within 12 months)
  • Valid ATP license with no limitations,
  • Valid passport, Class A Medical
  • Maximum age 55 (will consider up to 57 for highly qualified candidates)
  • Must present a criminal history showing no history of criminal activity


Domicile: Shijianzhuang, China.  CUA will use the new Beijing Airport starting in 2019.

Contract Term: 3 years, renewable

Salary amounts as follows:

NOTE:  for all options below, if you have children in school in China, CUA will provide an education allowance of $1,000 per month.

Option A:  36 days paid leave per year.

Total Monthly Compensation:  $24,366 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $20,500 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $12,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus (paid in three $8k installments)

The contract is based on 950 hours per year.  Overtime above 950 hours per year at $260/hr.

Option B:  4 weeks on, 2 weeks off.  12 days paid leave per year.

Total Monthly Compensation:  $22,866 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $19,000 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $12,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus

The contract is based on 900 hours per year.  Overtime above 900 hours per year at $260/hr.

Option C:  6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Total Monthly Compensation:  $20,699 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $17,000 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $10,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus

The contract is based on 850 hours per year.  Overtime above 850 hours per year at $250/hr.

Option D:  4 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Total Monthly Compensation:  $18,499 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $14,500 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $8,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus

Option E:  2 weeks on, 2 weeks off

Total Monthly Compensation:  $16,499 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $12,500 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $8,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus

Option F:  4 weeks on, 4 weeks off

Total Monthly Compensation:  $14,532 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $11,000 per month after assigned as Captain

•   $1,200 per month housing allowance

•   $500 travel allowance per month.

  • $500 traffic allowance per month

•   $8,000 per year Safety Bonus

•   $24,000 contract renewal bonus

The contract is based on 600 hours per year.  Overtime above 600 hours per year at $230/hr.

The contract is based on 650 hours per year.  Overtime above 650 hours per year at $240/hr.

Travel to interview:  Candidates will receive reimbursement for air travel upon arrival in China.  Travel itineraries must be pre-approved.  You must provide a receipt and original boarding passes.  Hotel costs while in China are paid by Sichuan Airlines. 
Additional Information:

Sick Leave:  Option A: 10 days.  Option B/C: 8 days.  Option D/E: 5 days.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt.
