Donghai Airlines Co. Ltd is the first private joint venture airline approved by the ministry of Commerce and CAAC. The airline was established in November, 2002 and had its maiden freight flight in September2006. It owned 7 Boeing 737-300 cargo aircrafts with dozens of international and domestic routes. With eight years of safe operation, Donghai Airlines has been awarded the safety winner and standard unit issued by CAAC and Central South Regional Administration.
The airline had its first passenger flight in February 2014, which marks the official start of Donghai Airlines’ passenger flights. It owns 5 Boeing 737-800 passenger aircrafts with flights to Ningbo, Dalian, Harbin, Hailar, Nanjing and Changchun. At the same time it signed a purchase contract of 25 Boeing 737-800aircrafts and a lease contract of 4 Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft with Boeing and ILFC Company respectively In 2015, the airline announced plans for a major increase in operations to include international and long-haul flights in the next 5 to 8 years and to have 120 aircraft by 2025, including Boeing 787Dreamliners and further Boeing 737-800 and MAX aircraft.
In the coming 5 years , Donghai Airlines will increase its fleet by 6 aircraft per year, and at that time Donghai Airlines will open more routes like Beijing, Shanghai, Wenzhou, Nanjing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guiyang, Xi’an, Xining etc. and provide passengers with safe ,smooth and pleasant service.
