Qingdao Airlines was founded in 2013 and operated its first flight in April 2014. Its mission is to serve as a boutique carrier for the seaside city of Qingdao. The airline currently operates a fleet of ten Airbus A320s on eight domestic routes from Liuting International Airport in Qingdao. The airline is a partnership between Shandong Airlines, the Nanshan Group, and the Qingdao Transport Development Group.
